DISCOVERY weekend is a youth weekend for spiritual formation where the youth experience God’s love, the joy and forgiveness of Christ, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The weekend is held in the local church with junior highs attending and senior highs and adults of the church leading the weekend.

DISCOVERY consists of three weekends, held over a three year cycle. This allows the junior highs to attend a different weekend during their 6th, 7th, & 8th grade years.

We have been hosting DISCOVERY weekend here at First United Methodist Church since 1998. Through the weekend we have seen lives changed, teens challenged, and the entire church come together for one purpose.
